传统历法内行所引外国专家资料正好证明黄道是天球上的大圆 太原科技大学　曾一平

　　看来内行有点急了，一天之内四个帖子强调他说的黄道是个椭圆是正确的，最后这个帖子，搬出来美国哈佛大学，英国伦敦国家博物馆等六家的文字材料，用以证明他的说法有根据。却没有想到，这些材料正好证明了黄道是椭圆是错的。因为他把英文的意思理解错了。我们来看一看原文和他的翻译：

　　美国哈佛大学教材说：However, both of the above assumptions are false. That is, the Earth orbits the Sun in an ellipse, meaning that when the Earth is closest to the sun (in ~January) the transverse motion is greatest, and when the Earth is furthest from the sun (~July) the transverse motion is least (Kepler's law that the Earth sweeps out equal area in equal time). 大意：以为地球围绕太阳的运动轨道是正圆的看法是错误的。那轨道是个椭圆，即：距离太阳近、运动快；距离远，运动慢。

　　这一段的翻译没有错，但是丝毫不能证明黄道是椭圆，因为人家说的很清楚，说的是地球绕太阳的轨道，不是说的黄道。

伦敦国家博物馆：「The orbit of the Earth」 ：Earth orbits around the Sun in a path with the shape of a stretched circle - an ellipse. The plane of the orbit is called the ecliptic. 大意：地球轨道是椭圆，而不是正圆。该轨道叫「黄道」。

　　这一段的最后一句翻译错了。正确的译文应该是：这个轨道平面叫黄道。轨道平面怎么能叫黄道呢？道意味着是一维的线。所以不能死理解，应该理解为轨道平面与天球的交线，也就是黄道这个大圆。所以这段文字也是证明黄道是天球上的大圆。

美国大学教材：Surveying the Solar System：Sun does not move at uniform speed along the ecliptic. In N hemisphere, summer is longer than winter. Reason: Earth's orbit about Sun is an ellipse, not a circle. Earth moves faster when closer to Sun. 大意：在北半球，夏天比冬天长，原因是：地球轨道是椭圆，而不是正圆，距太阳近的时候，运动就快些。

　　这一段的译文也错了。正确译文应该是「观察太阳系可知，太阳沿黄道的运动速度是不等速的。在北半球，夏季比冬季长是因为地球绕太阳的轨道是椭圆，不是正圆，地球距太阳近时，运动要快些。」文字说的很清楚，地球绕太阳的轨道是椭圆，没有说黄道是椭圆。是地球距太阳近时地球的速度快些。当然地球的速度快人在地球上是看不见也感觉不到的，但是可以通过太阳在黄道上的扫瞄速度反映出来。这个道理笔者在第一个帖子中已经讲过了。总之，这一段材料也正好证明黄道是天球的大圆。地球的轨道才是椭圆。

美国OU大学科普讲演：Lecture 6/The Seasons：The Earth's orbit around the sun does not outline a perfect circle; instead, it traces out an ellipse. This orbit occurs on a flat plane known as the ecliptic plane. 大意：地球轨道，即黄道，不是正圆、而是椭圆。

　　这一段的译文也被贪污了。完整的译文是「第六讲／季节：地球绕太阳的轨道不是正圆，而是椭圆。这个轨道是在一个平面上，人称它为轨道平面。

　　所以这一段也没有与黄道联系起来。如果要联系，就必须说到轨道平面与天球的交线，与第二段材料一样。

太平洋天文学会//课堂教学：The Earth's orbit around the Sun is not a perfect circle, but slightly "stretched" into an ellipse (Figure 4). 大意：地球围绕太阳的轨道不是正圆、而是椭圆（见图4）。
美国和英国科普阅读参考：4. The earth moves not in a perfect circle, but in an ellipse (although close to a circle). //「Tutorial on Earth/Sun Relations and Seasons」：However, if we look at the Earth's orbit closely, we find that it is not exactly circular. Rather, it is an ellipse, which is an oval shape, or a very slightly flattened circle. 大意：如果我们仔细考察地球轨道，就能看到，它不是正圆，而是椭圆。

　　最后这两段翻译没有错，但很清楚说的都是地球的轨道是椭圆，而不是说黄道是椭圆。
